bad stuff first: Milky way has 6 arms, the flaring of light (?) out of MW core makes it seem like a quasar, Andromeda is too small, Spirax too big, Draco is far too big (even though all my cool Battlelords stuff is set there), Fornax is far too big. Lesser Magellanic Cloud should be at least half the size of the greater cloud (more like 1/3rd) and both less dense. good stuff: It's really bright and very dramatic. Virgo really stands out as ominous with the black streaking. I like the mystery that the green gives Ursa Major. The hazing is done very nicely and it could be a sky box for a space shooter. Overall: No need to change it. Art execution is very nice. I'm just a nitpicker.
No worries. Nitpicking = <3. Even the smallest of errors is good to alight. I am a big fan of authenticity (spelling?).
The flaring light is supposed to be an extragalacitcal jet from the accretion disk around the supermassive black hole in the centre of the galaxy. It probably would look different, but... its my first galaxy I ever made I didn't have size that prioritized when I made it thou. I used a template that my collegue made. The sizes and placement were probably more correct in the template, but I used a bit of artistic freedom to make some things stand more out and to make everything fit. The milky way as an example was about 1/3rd of its size size in the template compared to this map.
Looks like my dream universe
